Dow Jones, S&P 500, Nasdaq Composite, NASDAQ Global Market, Russell 2000, SIA S&P 500 and U.S. Consumer Staples Index closed higher Wednesday, while the S&p 500 ended its longest losing streak in six months.
The S&ap Index of technology stocks finished the day up 0.5% and the Nasdaq composite gained 1.3%.
The SIA’s S&app Index ended its first week losing more than 10% since the 2008 market crash.
The Russell 2000 dropped 0.2%.
Nasdaq’s index of technology companies fell 0.1%.
The Russell 3000 index of stocks in technology and finance closed down 0.3% and ended the day down 0% at 5,897.70.
Dow Jones closed up 0,942.47 points, or 1.5%, to 3,932.89.
The Dow was up 3.3%, S&op rose 0.4%, Russell 2000 was up 0%, Nasdaq was up 2.3%; and the Russell 3000 was up 5.3%).
