An international stock market index is up 0.5% on Wednesday as investors look to capitalize on the rising dollar, which helped the dollar index to rise 0.4%.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average index is at 22,742, up 0% from Wednesday’s closing low of 20,611.
The S&P 500 index is down 1.3%, while the Nasdaq Composite index is off 2%.
The Shanghai Composite index has gained 1.2% in the past two sessions, and is up 4.4% since the start of 2017.
The Shanghai stock market is up 7.4%, and the Shenzhen stock market has risen 5.7%.
The Japanese stock market was down 0.1% for the day, as investors worry about deflationary pressures in the country and global economic uncertainty.
The US stock market closed down 0% at 4,527.
The euro rose to $1.3060 from $1,2959.
The Japanese yen slipped to 119.54 yen from 119.64 yen.
