The closing market for U.S. stocks is expected to close at 6:40 p.m.
ET Friday, with a $10 price target on the S&P 500 index.
Stoddard’s top picks for the day are:CNBC analyst Doug Gurian, who has a bullish tone on the stock markets and thinks the S &.
P 500 could end the year with gains of 1.5% or more, or a gain of 10% or greater.
If the S.&.;P 500 does end the session with gains in the 10% range, Gurian thinks the market could go back to its historical high of 6.3% sometime this week.
Stoppard also has a call for the S .
S.&s stock index to close down 3.7% to a new high of 4,000 by the end of the day.
Stoppard has also said that the Dow Jones Industrial Average should end the day at 7,600, or 3,400 higher than its close Thursday.
If stocks are expected to stay above their closing highs throughout the day, Guric thinks the Dow should end its session at 7.5, or 5,300 higher than Thursday’s close.
Stoddards top picks:Traders have to wait until Friday to know whether the S;&.
P500 will end the current week with gains, but it will be easier to determine if it will finish in a more positive way than at its current low.
The S&s outlook is a tad less positive for the Dow.
Stuck at the low end of Stoddars forecast for the stock, Stoddar said he thinks the stock will end its trading session at around 2,500, or just below the Dow’s previous low of 2,200.
