You’ve seen them in stores.
You’ve had a go at them in your local supermarket.
You’re probably even using them in online dating.
Now, if you’re a brand you’d like to see more of, you’ll want to be on the lookout for the Misfits Market, a popular shopping event that’s been around for more than a decade.
The Misfits is a weekly gathering of fashion and fitness enthusiasts in Melbourne, featuring events like fashion show-style runway shows and fitness classes.
It’s an annual event that takes place on October 12.
It’s a good opportunity for brands to get in front of a community that’s hungry for their latest and greatest.
It has been one of the best years for brands in terms of growth,” said Michael Jones, chief marketing officer of Themis, an online marketplace for Australian and overseas brands.”
We have had a great year, with a lot of new brands getting their start in this space and the momentum that it’s creating,” he said.”
With the number of people we’re seeing coming into the market, we’ve had to have a better understanding of what’s going on.
“In Melbourne, the market has exploded in recent years.
According to Jones, this year the market reached $12 million, with about 50 per cent of that coming from fashion retailers.”
The Misits has been a huge catalyst for our brand, and we’re excited about where it’s going in the future,” he added.”
For example, this season we’ve seen the growth in online sales and the growth of new stores and the likes.
“It’s really been a big hit for us, and hopefully it will continue to grow.”
While the market is growing, it’s not going to be as big as some of the big Australian retailers.
In fact, the Misits Market is just one of many events the Melbourne-based retailer has been hosting this year.
There are also more than 300 other events around the world, including the fashion show, fashion-forward fitness classes, and fitness-related events.
Jones said the Misbes was growing at an average of about five new stores per week.
“I think that the number will probably come down this year and in the long term,” he noted.
“But we’re definitely going to have more and more Misfits in the years to come.”
The Misfit Market will be held in Melbourne’s CBD on October 10-11, 2018.
